Redeeming Generations In Luke 1:41-45, Mary visits her relative - TopicsExpress

Redeeming Generations In Luke 1:41-45, Mary visits her relative Elizabeth. The angel had informed Mary that Elizabeth was also with a child by Divine intervention. Like a magnet, this information draws Mary to her. It is interesting to note that Mary and Elizabeth were two generations apart. Elizabeth was collecting social security while Mary was getting ready to apply for her drivers license. Such a degree of generational distance usually increases the relational incompatability quotient. However, God supernaturally brought the two together through dovetailing purposes. Lizzys boy was to prepare the way for Marys. Sadly, when I look at the generations today I dont see them relating well. Though both need one another, rarely does one see the value in the other. To bridge the gap, the elder should take the initiative, seizing the privilege of birthing something which prepares the way for generation next. When that occurs, long will be the line of teenagers seeking the ageds wisdom, helping us all to bring redemption to a lost world. Live right, live well...
