Reducing inequality is essential to our progress as a country. It will give hope and opportunity to many, and will unleash huge potential to develop our economy and society. It is about lifting the incomes of the low paid and getting fair wage increases across the board. It is also about making clear that salary levels like those in this article are obscene. According to the most recent survey CEO salaries are now on average 26.5 times those of workers in our major companies. It has to stop. Lets set a cap on the ratio of CEO salaries to average workers salaries, give shareholders and workers more of a say in remuneration structures, and try to bring some basic fairness back our society. #forabetternz
