Reese Update from Laura Dufford Jackson. August 16th Sorry for the delay in a Reese update! Reese has had a good week. She underwent a temporary Trach procedure on Wednesday and she handled the procedure beautifully. The staff is currently in the process of slowly weaning her off of her sedatation medicine so she can eventually begin to sit up and be interactive with the doctors, nurses and her family. Her color looks so good and healthy. She is coughing on her own which as hard as it is to see her do the ole red faced cough, we know it is a great thing. Reese is truly making progress and has some forward momentum going. She has a slow weekend planned so she can rest up and on Monday has another bronch. procedure planned. We are so thrilled with her progress and her strength. We do ask that each of you continue to pray for Reese...pray for healing lungs, no infection and forward progress. Think positive and pray for Reese! Mom continues to improve and gain strength at home and through physical and occupational therapy. We still burst with pride as we think of all that Mom has done and overcome. We thank yall for your continued prayers and support of our families as we all continue down this road to recovery
