Ref DA Pam 670-1 Chap. 21 Para 21-30b(6) (6) Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear brassard. The brassard consists of CBRN in golden orange letters, on a cobalt blue background. The subdued CBRN insignia is a rectangular shaped foliage green embroidered device consisting of four black letters “CBRN” 1–11/32 inches in height, with an overall dimension of 1 13/16 inches in height by 3 1/4 inches in width, all within a 1/8 inch foliage green border (see fig 21–155). The CBRN brassard is a hook-and- loop insignia and will be worn attached to the left sleeve of the combat uniform coat shoulder pocket flap. Enlisted CMF 74 or officers/warrant officers within branch 74 must be serving in a 74 coded billet and be directly involved in CBRN operations by being engaged in the planning, assessing, characterizing, advising, and mitigating of CBRN threats and hazards inside or outside of continental United States environments to be authorized to wear the CBRN brassard (see fig 21–155).
