Refined by Fire If you are ready to fall down and worship the image I made, very good. But if you do not worship it, you will be thrown immediately into a blazing furnace. Then what god will be able to rescue you from my hand? Daniel 3:15 "Open the furnace!" Nebuchadnezzar commanded. "Throw these troublemakers to their deaths for rebelling against my command. Let the world see what awaits any who refuse to bow to my honor!" Then Nebuchadnezzar stood dumbstruck: Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were walking around untouched by the flames inside the furnace-and they were with a fourth brilliant figure! In the end, Nebuchadnezzar proclaimed, "No other god can save in this way" (Daniel 3:29). These faithful men of God could have chosen to bow before an idol to save their own skin, but they had faith in the only true God and knew the right thing to do. It may not be easy to fight for what you know is right, but God will reward you for standing up in His name and refusing to yield to evil. In the end, even Nebuchadnezzar stood in awe of the power of God! Stand fast in your faith, for He will rescue you and use your faith to proclaim His power and love.
