Refiners Fire Everybody loves gold. It is a valuable, precious - TopicsExpress

Refiners Fire Everybody loves gold. It is a valuable, precious metal. However, the gold you see today is surface gold. Somebody had to spend hours, days and sometimes weeks, digging for that gold. When it was finally found, the man smiled and said- finally, a reward for my efforts. He knew the value of that gold even though it did not look so attractive in its raw state. This man took the gold home and kept it on his table. After a while, His wife and son came in. His wife saw the lumpy dirty unattractive mass on his reading table and frowned. She took this unattractive thing and threw it out of the window, wondering why her handsome husband loved having dirt around. She went into the kitchen to prepare the evening meal. The man came back to his table and could not find his gold. He searched everywhere, scattered his books, turned the table upside down and still could not find his gold. His young son was watching him in amazement. He asked his father if He was looking for the piece of dirt that his mum threw out of the window. The man raced out of the house, got on his knees in the street and began to search for his gold. He did not find it that day. In the morning, he continued his search, he got on his knees and put his hands into gutters. After sometime, his dedication paid off. He found his precious gold. It was even more soiled than before because it had fallen into the gutter when his wife had thrown it out. He felt tears course down his cheeks as he muttered- oh my precious gold, they do not know what you mean to me, they do not know how valuable you are, they do not know that you will add to our riches and fame. He took the gold and set it back on his table. His wife and son walked in at that moment. They saw the dirt again and asked in unison- what is this dirt doing back here? The man smiled and asked them to follow him into his smithery. He picked up the piece of dirt and put it into the fire. His wife and son expected it to burn up. It did not. After sometime, it began to gleam. His wife and son gasped and asked him- is this not that piece of dirt? We are this gold; God is the finder, digger and refiner; People are this wife and son. People have written us off, people have formed a negative mental image of us, people have broken us down with their words, people have done.... And spoken..... God is seeking us out, digging in the gutter that people threw us into. His love is breaking every chain of shame, every hurdle of loneliness. He is spending His time to craft us....into stars....gleaming stars. And in a little time from now, people will see us and say- is this not that piece of dirt? Is this not that girl/boy that we thought nothing good could come out from? Arise, take up thy bed and walk. Yours sincerely, Di Vine
