Reflect on this post from Abu Eesa... PS. One of the reasons that all of us duaat are so concerned about ISIS and these other groups is that they pretend to do their deeds in OUR name and from OUR tradition. We expect no good from American foreign policy, or the Alawite regime in Syria, or the secular power-hungry wolves of Egypt; we speak against them and will always do so. But when practicing brothers use the Quran to justify their barbaric tactics, and claim they are fighting in the name of our Lord while they massacre innocents in the most brutal fashion, then our duty to point out their mistakes intensifies. I will continue to speak out against these atrocities, despite all of the flack and threats these ISIS-lovers give me (see the last batch of comments and the despicable manners shown within them). And I fully expect Allah to reward me for speaking out against such violence and evil perpetrated in His name - for Allah and His Messenger are free from such vile tactics.
