Reflecting… I’m contently busying myself in my responsibilities. At peace while washing the pile of dirty dishes, thankful we were able to host our immediate families together for Father’s Day. Moving the laundry along for the entire household, grateful that I am here to hands on teach and guide my daughters on how to take care of themselves and their own homes someday in the future. Although we prepare for the future, we attempt to not ‘harp’ on it – or continuously contemplate and pray for the future to be here now OR for the future to look as we want! Not our will Lord, yours. I teach my daughters to live today, live this moment. God gave you this right now. Bless Him for it! Rick started date night!!! I’ve waited years for this to happen – almost 14 years to be exact ;-) I love to be dated. Now, I get to venture out on what it will be like to be dated by my husband! This is my God-given companion for life; my anchor to the Rock, my Ying. Forty is going to be great! He explained it would be simple this time, just to go out (with no babies) and have dinner together. To go out, without our girls is challenging for us, we enjoy our children to be around and always include them in the plan. They are older now and Nia thinks something is wrong with us – always pushing to go – have fun! I love them Lord. Fajitas and margaritas! I think I understand what he did now – He equated our first date at Fandango’s with our first date night where we shared fajitas and margaritas ;-) AWE!!!! {AHA! Moment} Okay ~ very sweet daddy – we did that ;-) Now momma is thinking of going dancing!! I’m going to let my imagination run now – I see a dance studio, where Rick has surprised me with a dance lesson or two (or three). After leaving the backroom of this dance studio, I find the lights have been dimmed and my husband prepared a table for two, with candles and glasses of merlot, red rose centerpiece on the table. Beautiful music plays behind us as we are enraptured by each other in deep conversation. Rick asks me to dance – we begin a slow step embrace as he kisses my forehead and then the music changes and Rick begins to twirl me like never before – because he has taken a dance lesson as well!!!!! HA!! Yeah, it’s a dream – but it gives Mr. Green something to aspire to. BUT - No matter what Big Dawg plans; I’m there: giddy, cute and ready ;-) Much love to Your way, God ~ thank you
