Reflecting on 2014 is always difficult. It is a reminder of all the days and nights you were not with us and other children are not with their families but we forge ahead in your honor knowing you are guiding us toward the right direction to make a difference in the lives of others. Your guidance and direction lead us on an amazing journey and to people, organizations and fund raising events who want to help us make a difference in the lives of families that went thru the same thing we did. This year we are pleased to announce Ed Conlon, Charles Macolino, and Mike Maglione to the board. We were blessed to meet and now work side by side with John and Janet Kornreich who have become Angels to us......and honoring you with a learning corner in Winthrop Hospital. From the 2014 Holiday Hospital party until now....much love was received towards the foundation named after you. The Gala in 2014 had a record number of people, our attempt at our own 5K race, events held in your honor at SCRUBZ, CROSSFIT Training, SEPHORA, TJ FOR KIDS, and who can forget all of our runners the run in honor of all of the Angels in the Ocean to Sound Relay! There were book drives and toy drives and pj drives that benefitted all the families we help in the names of other Angels we have lost. We are blessed these people found us and want to help us. 2014 allows us to reflect most of all on the countless numbers of volunteers who have joined us in this fight and in the same breathe send many, many, many thanks to those who have been with us since DAY ONE and yes....even thank those that faded away because each and everyone had something to do with getting us to the level of achievement we have reached and continue to reach higher. They work tirelessly to find places and corporations to get product to fill raffle baskets and give-a-ways and this is not an easy task....but you sit inside their spirit and guide them to those who accept us with open arms. Mom is always at the office every day making feel better baskets for the children entering the hospitals we have extended into.......yes that is HOSPITALS!......we have grown so much. Ava and Anthony are right in the mix helping!....you would be so proud of them. Our corporate sponsors, our amazing and selfless companies who donate their time and props and come to support every function we have like DJ KOZ, Kuddles the clown and crew, BellyBeans, Marios.....the list goes on and forgive me if I left a name out here and there....my mind is cluttered with emotion🐞 But this year, more than ever we reflect upon the number of families we have helped.....and because of all stated above this is the first time since the conception of the foundation we have helped more families than EVER BEFORE and some families twice! When we started the foundation in the early years we were thrilled to help 10 families in one year; now we have helped 40 in one month! This you can take as both good and bad news as included in this figure is assistance to families for those children who have received their angel wings and who you now care for above as we care for those left behind below. A world wind of a year as we now plan for the 2015 Holiday Party and star this crazy ride all over again. Not a day, second or minute goes by that we do not think about you. We love you to the moon and back and will fight to give voice to these sick children and their families all in your honor and spirit. We love you Lexie....... 🐞💕🐞
