Reflecting on 2014, its been a year of mixed fortunes - some lows, some highs. The lows - unexpectedly losing my brother Mal at the early age of 51, Jims struggles with essential tremor and his being diagnosed with Alzheimers, family breakups and the continuing battle to get back the money owed from our Turkish Builder. However, there have been some wonderful highs too. Despite Jims diagnosis, he still functions well, just make sure soups off the menu and he has a shopping list!!! Otherwise, hes still my Jim, still funny, still caring, still much loved. The biggest high of all was the birth of great niece, Mals first grandchild Caitlyn. I know he will be looking down with pride on his daughter Zoe, her partner Billy and Caitlyn. Wishing everyone whos had an impact on my life a very Happy New Year.
