Reflecting on my youth I recall that I would attend a T-Bird Rumble at the drop of a hat. These were not common occurrences but when the word spread I would show up and be ready to get it on. As one ages and matures a less violent and peaceful gathering of T-Birds seems more to my liking. Thus as often as I can you will find me at a gathering called T-Bird Rocks. This is an open group that gathers every other week on a Saturday at Silhouette Dance Studio The owner is a fellow T-Bird Tanya Brosier. As Jim Hintz describes it we talk about "stuff" that is happening in life. Now this is NOT some woe is me or group pity session but rather a open forum and exchange of ideas. Here are just a few of the topics we tossed about last Saturday in our 2 hour (11 AM to 1 PM) gathering: Good and less than satisfactory results of a restraining order. Should a 100 plus year old parent be mowing the lawn alone? Did you know that you can turn buying a car into a business opportunity? - one of our group described how he had accomplished just that. How to dismiss a lawn / yard service that was not performing to your satisfaction, best part of this topic was that the solution was sitting at the table and eager to take on a new client. That finding a misplaced suppository can lead to locating your hearing aid. Dealing with Tele-Marketing firms. If any of those topics spark your interest or you have some "stuff" to toss into the ring look for a group of people sitting at the "cool" table on Saturday, 27 July when the gathering at the golf course takes place.
