Reflecting on the song lyrics we will sing Sunday and their biblical truths this morning. Just so thankful that through it all, if we keep our focus on Him, He makes it well within us. Even the disciples got nervous, fearful, and anxious. Matthew 8:26-27 says, 26 And he said to them, “Why are you afraid, O you of little faith?” Then he rose and rebuked the winds and the sea, and there was a great calm. 27 And the men marveled, saying, “What sort of man is this, that even winds and sea obey him?” We live in a scary world, with fear driven media (including social) and everyone telling you whats wrong. As something I struggle with, I rejoice because the winds and waves still know His nam, and, that same power is given to us. Through everything, He has us. He love us. He doesnt desire for us to walk around in that despair, fear, worry, or with a mountain weighing us down. He has overcome. He speaks and it listens. We have that within us as heirs of Jesus. That power belongs to you. I encourage you to speak to your mountains today, to trust that God will protect you, and to turn over your gaze to be fixated on Him. If our eyes are on Him, those distractions wont seem so big.
