Reflecting on those moments when we as Trans* people show up for - TopicsExpress

Reflecting on those moments when we as Trans* people show up for each other when no one else is around to hold us, carry, celebrate and love us. We are not perfect...and some times not perfect to each other, but theres a piece inside me that knows I am here because you exist - past and present, ancestors and living. Great responsibility comes with that knowledge and as Trans* people we cannot be complacent when our Trans* siblings, our Disabled siblings, our 2Spirit siblings, our Black and Brown sisters are continuously ignored and discarded by people, services, organizations, media, the list goes on... If theyre not celebrating ALL Trans* existence when were here living, surviving, thriving, are they truly mourning us when were gone? Trans* people are NOT disposable. Sending love and hope that one day each and every one of us can say we know what feeling safe, feeling peace, feeling love feels like.
