Reflection Are we just comfortable with fighting imperialism or we want our various countries in Africa to advance and take their pride of place in the world? Answer to this will vary and that will determine reactions to the main discourse - Robert Mugabe. In my personal estimate and capacity, I should be sending pa Mugabe to a school of hard knocks. He tried, did his best but then, thats not the Zimbabwe some of us want. Again, dont dwell on Western sanctions, thats not a new deal. Iran is still under sanction. Russia is. Almost anyone can be sanctioned when against Western nations so when going against them, be ready to have your long spoon for the devil and good alternative to building your country. We cant keep lamenting Western imperialism when we possess no innovation. To burst your bubbles, the West will only be SCARED of any leader or group of leaders with magnificent developmental innovations not just one who talks and laments. Talk of Castro. Talk of Chavez. How about our own dear Sankara and Lumumba! We have to define what we want and in doing so, there are times we must learn the art of negotiation. I believe that our challenges are within for now; after that, we can take on our foreign exploiters. Paul Kagame of Rwanda isnt a Western puppet. Many Rwandans are okay, Kagame concentrated on the people and kept watching his back. Noises that he doesnt tolerate dissenting voices arent tenable to me per se because those who did in the past were either killed or ousted by the CIA-backed oppositions. You can only build any country in Africa with certain amount of madness; going the way of Sankara again. As young minds, our main goal should be to start thinking on the best way out of these various internal colonialism; there and then we can have a good foundation. Remember those who came to enslave and colonise us did not do so with lamentation and noise; they did with both partial negotiation and forceful invasion.
