Reflection: As I think back to the beginning of this year, I - TopicsExpress

Reflection: As I think back to the beginning of this year, I started a completely new journey that I am so grateful for. Sometimes I think about it and I cant believe that I am where I am already at the age of 24. I am proud:). Ive set goals for myself and where I want to be at a certain age. Everything thus far has fallen perfectly into place and I cannot be more thankful to the man above for guiding me all this time. I know at times I stray away to do things that I want for myself, (may not always be the best thing for me) but you steer me right back to where you want me to be. As this year is coming to a close, I am thinking about what I have planned for next year. What I want to accomplish and where I want to be. However before I do that, I must not forget to acknowledge the great things that have happened in 2014 for me. First off, for graduating from college with my Bachelors in 2013 which then opened a whole new window of opportunities for me in 2014. For Asian Women United for offering me a position that I have worked so hard for. For the many learning opportunities that my job has offered me and for the many great friends that I have made along the way. For the trip that I took to Cali & Vegas and for James J-stroke Lees acceptance into Augsburg College. For my beautiful nieces that have changed my life. For the new place that James and I now call home. For my plans to visit South Korea next year. For my amazing part-time job at Target and a Team that makes work feel like fun. For the amazing new people that I have met through work functions and through personal friendships. I am incredibly grateful for all the good things this year. The list goes on but I am so grateful for every single opportunity that I have had to learn something from each situation. I promise to better myself this new year. To be more positive and grateful. To look for the good in others and to encourage for growth within myself in all aspects of my life. To get into grad school and get involved with other agencies and start networking more so that I can truly be knowledgeable of the resources out there. To mature in to a young woman that can hold her ground and be respected but also one that possesses compassion and love for all people. I want to continue seeking God in all that I do and stay center in my faith no matter what rough patch I hit. I want to continue to stay present in my job for the individuals that I am working with because their life matters to me. 2015, you are going to be a great year and I am excited for all that is to come.
