Reflections: Recently, I was driving on a two-lane road in rural Alabama and the car in front of me was driving too slow. I was getting frustrated. Just when I started to pass them, they hit their brakes. I looked a little further up and saw a stop sign. It seem to come out of nowhere. I immediately thanked the Lord for saving me and potentially others from being in a wreck. The people in front of me knew about the intersection, but I didnt. Sometimes God slows us down for good reasons. He sees whats ahead of us better than we do. He even puts people in our lives that see further than we do. There is a pacing of life that is important to God. Isaiah didnt say those that get in a hurry renew their strength, but those that wait upon the Lord...will be renewed. Ive made most of my mistakes by getting ahead of him. Ive never regretted waiting on him. Teach me, Lord, to wait and help me also, to trust those youve put in my path to help me arrive safely and on time.
