Reflections of His Glory Thoughts for the day Seeing clearly? Do we see what is really going on in life? If we did I think we would live so differently. What do you think about this quote from C.S. Lewis ... Do you think I am trying to weave a spell? Perhaps I am; but remember your fairy tales. Spells are used for breaking enchantments as well as for inducing them. And you and I have need of the strongest spell that can be found to wake us from the evil enchantment of worldliness which has been laid upon us for nearly a hundreds years. Its hard to marry words like spell and enchantment when taking about Christianity .. But if you look at truth you might just see clearly what has been going on since the beginning of time. You get a good glimpse of the unseen in the movie The fellowship of the ring. In the beginning of the movie these words appear on the screen.. Fate has chosen Her, A fellowship will protect Her, Evil will hunt Her. (I changed him to her in this quote for a reason) As I read this it reminded me of two scriptures.. One from Isaiah 43:10 You are my witness declares The Lord, and my servant whom Ive chosen. So that you may know and believe me and understand that I am He. In other words.. God chose us.. He chooses us to Know Him.. And includes us to be in His fellowship.. He wants us to enter into relationship so we can enter into the fellowship that will protect us.. And you may ask.. Protect us from what? Evil? That sounds a bit extreme.. Or does it? In Genesis 3:14 God made a deceleration when He confronted the first sin that took place.. He told the serpent- youre cursed and Im (God) declaring war between you and Woman.. Between the serpents offsprings and hers.. Ok did you let that sink in? Sounds like war was declared between woman and evil... Evil will Hunt her and her offspring... Sounds to me like Tolkien was spot on with this quote.. Hey- Im not trying to scare anyone.. Truth says where sin abounds grace abounds that much more.. We are Overcomers in this life if we see what is really going on.. There is a war.. It was declared by God Himself.. And He has provided a way out.. His fellowship will protect us:) So, He chooses us.. So we may know Him.. To overcome the evil of this world:) Take a look at whats really going on in your life.. Are you circling the same old problem again? Maybe God as protection, and transformation waiting for you .. Enter into His fellowship .. Its the only way to break the spell:) Lord, open our eyes to the unseen battles .. Help us overcome.. Meet with us and help us learn to hide under Your wings of fellowship:) I love You God- you make me strong. Isaiah 43:10 Genesis 3:14-19
