Reflections on the biodynamic conference from NABDAP graduate and scholarship recipient Greg Mountain of Vancouver, BC The sessions I attended covered a huge range of topics and I took both ideas and practical skills from them. I had experimented with making the pest peppers but found the process a little challenging. Listening to Hugh Courtney helped me to understand how I could actually move forward incorporating this helpful tool into my practice. Hugh Lovels focus on the total nutrient content of the soil and focusing on balancing it to allow those nutrients to become accessible really changed the way I look at fertility management. I could go on at length since many of the sessions deepened my knowledge in some way. Meeting the other conference attendees was also phenomenal as it really awakened the desire in me to contribute to biodynamic education and increasing awareness of the unique techniques we bring to sustainable agriculture and healing the earth.
