Reforestation opportunity for our Local NGOs. Grants 2014- Deadline: 15 March 2014 World Wildlife Fund (WWF) Education for Nature Program is inviting applications for reforestation grants 2014. The main objective of the grant program is to provide critical financial support to proven and potential conservation leaders in Africa, Asia, and Latin America to gain the skills and knowledge they need to address conservation challenges in their home countries. The reforestation projects are aimed at supporting communities in regaining ecological integrity and enhancing human well-being in deforested or degraded forest landscapes. Eligibility Criteria – Applicant must be a legally registered organization in a WWF-US priority eco-region [Belize, Guatemala, Honduras, Bolivia, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Kenya, Mozambique, Tanzania, Madagascar, Bhutan, Nepal, Cambodia, Laso, Myanmar, Vietnam, and Indonesia]. Applicant organization must conduct reforestation/restoration activities in a WWF-US priority eco-region. Applicant organization must include an active learning, practical skill component, or field-based learning activity that builds skills and knowledge for local stakeholders as part of the project activities. Applicant organization must agree to complete all grant activities before August 31, 2014. Applications must be submitted through online registration.
