Refugee advocates have cost taxpayers millions of dollars in fighting cases brought by them against us in the courts. The 157 illegal arrivals that came from India and were intercepted at sea by border control, have cost us $12 million while the refugee advocates played games in the courts and still continue to do so. The advocates primary objective is to break the Sovereign borders model. They are using the courts to do it because they ultimately want the courts to declare offshore processing illegal. Just last week after years of legal action, the Federal Circuit Court dismissed an application by an Afghani asylum seeker to halt his deportation. Again the advocates initiated this case against us. If they had not interfered on the governments policy, the 157 illegal arrivals would have been back home with minimal cost to the taxpayer. They are playing politics and are aiding and abetting people smugglers.
