Refurbishing the Temple: Lets be honest with ourselves: life is short, and we need to be serious about taking care of ourselves. Dont get me wrong; Im as guilty as the next person. Ive got a weakness for sweets. But since starting Plexus I keep my intake to a very little. Im not going to live forever. How long will this body that God created be around? Seventy years? Ninety? Only He knows. Yet so often we dont pay much attention to what were doing to ourselves, despite knowing the long-term consequences. God wants more from us. Some of you probably have body issues. You arent in shape and you dont like the way that you look. Or youre frustrated that you havent successfully kicked a habit that youve been wanting to kick. The truth is, your body is a temple, whether its run-down or not. But where you are now doesnt determine where you can be if you decide to change. Make tomorrow healthier than today. And keep going. One day at a time. Transformation doesnt happen overnight, and yet incremental changes in diet and exercise can make dramatic differences when done consistently over a period of time. Health and satisfaction result. And hope. Ultimately, God wants you to do His work here on Earth. The more you honor Him with your body, the greater the likelihood that youll have longer to do just that. Your body is a temple, created by God. If you havent been concerned about what you put into it or have been slacking off in keeping active, make a change. From this point forward, honor Him by taking care of yourself physically. Dont you realize that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who lives in you and was given to you by God? You do not belong to yourself, for God bought you with a high price.
