Regarding ANY war: War does not just happen... Like children at play, just one little action triggers a response, which in turn becomes a cycle of escalation culminating a very ugly situation. It seems as if most of the FB comments I read are by those (myself included) that are appalled by just the thought of anger, hatred, bigotry, aggression, and the taking or a life of another human being. My question is at what point during the developmental cycle of a war, does one side rise above the other thus becoming ‘the good guys’? At what point does one side become right and the other wrong? The conflicts that are raging all around the globe (Recently I accounted for more than 50) and have thus far this year alone claimed more than 60,000 lives likely all started with just one little action that triggered a response. I believe they all have just one single ingredient that acts as the accelerant: Intolerance. Until we as a species can learn to “just get along” (Rodney King), to immerse ourselves in the beauty and splendor of this planet on which we all live, and to be tolerant of, without prej•u•dice (a preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience) towards ALL of our brothers and sisters, then I fear that we shall simply be doomed to replay over and over again, the horrors that should be confined only to history books. “Peace cannot be kept by force, it can only be achieved by understanding” - Albert Einstein
