Regarding Annette Ervins strength and courage when she stood up and spoke out about someone who made a Racist comment at a Christmas party: Robert Chisolm wrote: Annette, Thank you for standing up, and speaking out! The only way to combat racism is out in the open and addressing it for what it is! Its shameful how certain people are comfortable with it, and that their silence condones, and fertilizes the ground for it to grow/exist! Its also true ignorance on their part, why is it that they do and say racist things openly, but if we address what they are doing and saying, they in turn flip the argumentscript on us and accuse us of playing the race card! Thats the #1 tactic out of the racist handbook, to accuse the victim of their racist act, of being a racist for admonishing them for their act against you! SUCH IGNORANCE!
