Regarding NEW REGULATION from Citizen and Immigration Canada (CIC - TopicsExpress

Regarding NEW REGULATION from Citizen and Immigration Canada (CIC -cic.gc.ca/english/) for Live-In Caregiver Program (LCP) There has been some news recently regarding LCP that on 1st December 2014, Minister of Immigration, Chris Alexander will apply new measurements on LCP programs which include the following : 1- Education is raised to equivalent of one year post secondary education in Canada. This is a total of 13 years of education. 2- Foreign credentials will require an Educational Credential Assessment in Canada. 3- New language requiring IELTS (General) score of 5 for nannies and score of 6 for nurses. 4- Nannies no longer required to live in. Nannies will live out and employers cannot deduct room and board from nannies wages. I dont think theres any goodness in the above measurement, some might say that Live-Out is better than Live-in, but Honestly, if you are starter, it is better with Live-in. Live-Out means, you have to find your own apartment, pay your own bills, find your own meals, which might cost 60-70% of your salary. Anyway, CIC doesnt mention that they will drop the previous arrangement. So it means High School Graduates without IELTS can still apply and work under LCP to Canada It was said that the above measurements is for FAST TRACK of Permanent Residence, where if you have IELTS 5 and 1 years Post Secondary Education, you can apply PR after 6 MONTHS !!! - else you need to wait for 3 years before you can get your PR and bring your children and husband But Dont get to excited yet, Lets Cross Our Fingers that on CIC Announcement on 30 November 2014, the previous arrangements remain the same so that Those High School graduates with Yes-No Yes-No English can work in Canada
