Regarding coming up with the name of my new little business: Im avoiding putting the term vegan in the name for now, because some people have negative associations with that word... plant-based is more all-encompassing. Plant-based implies that you might be doing it for your health, for the environment, because you are lactose-intolerant, because you are open to trying new things, etc. Vegan seems to be associated more with ethical issues around eating animals...I want to include anyone who wants to try my cheeses, not only those who follow a vegan diet. does that make sense? Im worried putting vegan on it will exclude people who dont identify with that term, whereas all vegans will automatically know that plant-based means vegan. The majority of customers yesterday were not vegan at all but just open-minded people who had heard of the health implications of a plant-based diet. Lots of excitement and interest.
