Regarding domestic (non-border) immigration checkpoints: If we must verbally comply with an inquiry conducted by a federal agent in order to proceed with our endeavors, and without the assumption that we may be immigrants or associated to some form of criminal activity, then the right to remain silent must be omitted from the United States constitution in order for this evaluation to be genuine and constitutional. Our society is subconsciously adapting to a fabricated philosophy that promotes safety and security with the supposition that all individuals are immigrants, terrorists, or criminals; until proven otherwise. This process dismisses its adverse premise and neglects the liberty that has been earned in blood from those who wished they could rest in the arms of their mothers one last time before entering the Kingdom of Heaven.
