Regarding the Ventura / Kyle controversy. F. Scott Fitzgerald wrote: Show me a Hero and I will write you a tragedy. There are several heroes, several tragedies in this scenario. The first point and problem is that Americans and especially Veterans --- who served the US Constitution itself --- should be able to have dialogues about anything at any time without any type of threats, intimidation, or violent action. Seriously. Its extremely critical to be able to speak super freely to whoever one wants at any time in any way without any fear, or threats whatsoever. The failure of Freedom of Speech is a failure of the US Constitution itself, which is itself nothing more than the incarnation of Freedom of Speech: Words and Logic. The tragedy of Chris Kyles Heroic American life, is compounded by the complexity of Venturas attempt to regain control over a series of negative events. Within certain parameters of Military nomenclature, according to many of his peers Ventura is not committing an act of False Valor with regards to the SEAL designation. There is a classification dispute based on some time - based military processes and interpretations of Rank, etc. Defamation of Character in a national setting for Ventura or others in his status is a problem that causes unfathomable chain reactions across the power spectrum of Society and it should be resolved legally, to clarity of conscience. The courts ruled in Venturas favor, but there is no victory whatsoever in this scenario, for anyone concerned. At this time in our world, the American conscience is being very convoked by quite profound sociopolitical events whose extreme natures and profound intensity is only equated with their fleeting comprehension and seething undertow of perpetual disbelief. And Ventura and Kyle, Two Americans who served their nation with good faith and honor became entangled in the intensity of these strange histories. Specifically, they both became locked in the modern media imbroglio of Who Said What: this had nothing to do with their own Personal Valor as Americans. The provocateurs and pundits who tend the flame on the American conscience --- media speculators, etcetera: should learn how to rehumanize themselves and their audiences and find ways to not generate perpetual meaningless confusion, and focus their attention on the true and valid concerns of this Nation --- without propaganda or provocation, but rather with presentations of knowledgeable and scholarly pathways to Conflict Resolution, positive sociological resolutions, and how to maintain Unity in times of challenge, uncertainty and epochs of mass confusion.
