Regarding the lie about Che being a great guerrilla warrior, here are the facts. He decided to take the revolution to Sub-Saharan Africa. There, he was defeated by mercenaries and the French Foreign Legion. He returned to Cuba and considered that HIS Revolution would succeed in the poorest nation in South America. That was going to be his base for exporting the Communist revolution to adjacent neighbors, eventually taking over all of Latin America. Of course, he would be the Dear Leader. Castro was going to be his sponsor. Che failed at guerrilla warfare at every turn. 1. He could not recruit Bolivians to join his cause. He did have an auxilliary and underground in La Paz, but they were already dedicated and not really interested in living in the wilderness. He could not recruit locals as a guerrilla force. 2. He depended on his Cuban fighters as a guerrilla unit. 3. He kept his force in a fixed location. 4. He chose to slug it out against a superior force of a well-trained Bolivian Ranger Battalion. 5. He was captured WALKING ON THE ROAD toward the Ranger Headquarters. 5. He attempted to exploit his celebrity status to avoid execution. Stay tuned. Theres more.
