Regardless of the no vote, the UK economy is too weaj to let go of scots resources. Osbornes currency union gamble very nearly bankrupted them. Then discuss how separating their economy from ours could, by clever negotiating, guarantee the futures of both nations will be secure. If the UK believed cutting Scotland loose to do its own thing was going to help its economy and raise popularity of tories lsb ukip etc, then it will happen. We need to be more clever and take a very long term view. I suspect the SNP is already thinking about this and other options. Currency union was a dealbreaker as well on polling day. So we must deal with that problem by removing its threat first.
