Regardless of your beliefs, it is difficult to deny that dogs, and other fury friends, are heaven sent. The pope himself declared that animals are as close to God as men are, which sounds right to us! With that comment in mind, shouldnt we all think very long and hard about the way we treat the animals we come in contact with? The HSEP is very fortunate to have a great network of staff, volunteers, supporters, and other followers who definitely follow the Golden Rule when it comes to animals, but wouldnt the world be a far more beautiful place if everybody did the same?
