Ronulfo Popong Landero, one of Davao’s finest musician, is known by the nickname Kaliweteng Gitarista (left-handed guitarist) which was also the title of his first single that became the anthem of the flourishing Original Pilipino Music (OPM). He is a guitarist and roots reggae musician known for his neo-ethnic musical style, and a singer, songwriter, composer, lyricist, and musical director. His deep passion for music and theatre arts opened the doors for him to travel around the country and overseas (United Kingdom, Ireland, South Korea, Tokyo, Hanoi, Taiwan, Europe, etc.). As a young boy, Sir Popong stubbornly insisted to use his left hand despite being told by his father to do so otherwise. He would eat, write, and do other important things with his left hand.
