Reggie Bush Defends Adrian Peterson, Says He ‘Harshly’ Disciplines His 1-Year-Old DaughterWhile defending Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson amid child abuse allegations, Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush said on Tuesday that, in some situations, he will harshly discipline his 1-year-old daughter. I most definitely discipline my daughter. I have a 1-year-old daughter and I discipline her, Bush said on WFANs “Boomer & Carton” show, via CBS New York. Obviously every person is different. And I definitely will use my best judgement to discipline her, depending on the situation on what happens. I definitely will try to ... obviously not leave bruises or anything like that on her. But I definitely will discipline her harshly depending on, again what the situation is. Peterson was indicted in a child injury case in Texas last week. The case stems from an incident in which Peterson used a small tree branch to discipline his son in May of 2014. On Monday, KHOU-TV in Houston reported that Peterson has been accused of injuring another of his sons, also a 4-year-old. When asked if he would use a small tree branch (or a switch) to discipline his child, Bush said he would possibly consider it, depending on what she did. Later in the segment, Bush backtracked by saying he didnt say a branch or a stick and that I said spanking. Bush isnt alone in defending Peterson. Former NBA star and current TNT analyst Charles Barkley told Jim Rome for CBS Sports The NFL Today that every black parent in the South hits their kids. Meanwhile, Pro Football Hall of Famer Cris Carter delivered a passionate monologue over the weekend on ESPNs Sunday NFL Countdown, taking a stand against child abuse in response to Petersons indictment.By Michael Klopman While defending Minnesota Vikings star Adrian Peterson amid child abuse allegations, Detroit Lions running back Reggie Bush said on Tuesday that, in some situations, he will harshly discipline his 1-year-old daughter.
