Regime kills 1,231 civilians in October, including 216 children, 121 women. 118 killed under torture in regime prisons in same period 01-11-2014: A total of 1,231 civilians were documented killed by the Assad regime in October, including 216 children (an average of seven children per day) and 121 women. The Syrian Network for Human Rights (SNHR), which documents the fatalities in coordination with the Local Coordination Committees and other bodies, further revealed that 118 more people were documented killed under torture in regime prisons in the same period, an average of four per day. Women and children made up 27 percent of the civilian casualties, the SNHR reported, a further indication of the deliberate and indiscriminate targeting of civilians by Assads aerial and ground forces.
