Register for Manufacturing Training! Free classes start in January If you want to start the new year with training that will certify you for jobs in manufacturing, the Kentucky Manufacturing Career Center at 160 Rochester Drive in South Louisville is offering a one-month free training beginning Jan. 5. The training can lead to a credential recognized by the regions leading manufacturing companies such as GE Appliance Park, Westport Group, Universal Woods, abd Paradise Tomato Kitchen. Your first step is to attend a required Orientation Session at the Center, 160 Rochester Drive. The first orientation was held December 9th, but upcoming sessions are scheduled for: Tuesday, December 16 at 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23 at 2 p.m. Call 276-9711, Ext. 4001 to pre-register for an Orientation. At orientation you will learn more about the classes and the requirements for admission. Act now to start the process as seats in the class are limited and fill quickly. To qualify for the course, you must be at least 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED. You must also pass the National Career Readiness Certificate assessment at the Silver level and pass a drug screen.
