Registration Deadlines Approaching! We still have spaces available for our QHEI (May 6-7) and Primary Headwater Habitat (PHWH) (May 8-9) Courses. The deadline to register for these courses is April 16th, so register soon as space is limited. Habitat Assessment using the Qualitative Habitat Evaluation Index (QHEI): • Two day course introduces Ohio Bioassessment and Biocriteria, while focusing on performing habitat assessment using the QHEI. • The science behind Ohios Biocriteria and the QHEI is explained, and the methods for scoring the metrics are demonstrated at a variety of stream sites. Primary Headwater Habitat (PHWH) Evaluation Training: • Two day course in conducting assessments and assigning uses to primary headwater streams. • Includes instruction in the use of the Headwater Habitat Evaluation Index (HHEI), and the entire range of PHWH biological evaluations.
