Registrations are now open for the 22nd annual Darren Smith Cycle Classic. It is with much pride that the Gold Coast Cycling Club once again presents the Darren Smith Cycling Classic. This year’s event marks the 22nd anniversary of former CATS member’s tragic death at the age of 20. Darren Smith was about to launch himself into a stellar international career having already competed in the Barcelona Olympics and featured in a numerous European championship events. Konica Minolta Document Solutions, a local Gold Coast company, are generously sponsoring the Men Elite A race, and with a $2,000 prizepool for this division paying down to 10th, will certainly attract a quality elite field.
