Regrets today, Tuesday, September 2, it was on this date 45 years ago NBC canceled the Star Trek science fiction television series. Star Trek had debuted almost three years earlier and was my favorite TV show while I was in college. I was much displeased when Star Trek left the air. Happily, though, Star Trek did not fade into obscurity. The original Star Trek was revived in the form of several movies many years later and the Star Trek concept was kept alive with different television versions as well as films including the present series of motion pictures detailing the early days of Kirk, Spock, Bones and others.
