Regular exercise and fish consumption may help colon cancer - TopicsExpress

Regular exercise and fish consumption may help colon cancer patients prevent a recurrence of the disease, according to a new study. The study found that eating fish less than twice a week and getting less than an hour of moderate exercise a week was linked to a 2.5X greater risk of recurrence. The findings will hopefully encourage those with the disease to keep up those healthy habits. Each year in the U.S. about 135,000 new cases of colorectal cancer are diagnosed, and about 50,000 are expected to die from it this year.
