Rehabilitation Phase Post Typhoon Yolanda: Year 2014 would be a very difficult year for the Philippine Economy, and worst for its people. commodities are skyrocketing and the purchasing power of the peso are going the drain. The government must show true leadership and not be merely be satisfied with the lip service that the economy is doing well, not being felt by the masses. even the rice are in shortage, even the price of vegetables are going up, so are the price of fish which had been abundant before. We the people, must not allow the continuous export of our precious resources, the human resource to the other countries, but must prod the government to create projects that would provide employment for the people, such as investing the PDAF and DAF for factories in the countryside, making the ministry of agriculture as the lead agencies in identifications of agriculture crops to be planted in certain areas of the country that shall supply the raw materials that can be processed by the factories into a finished products, thus initiating the industrialization of the whole country. The local government must provide the security needs by such a venture and offer a 5 year tax free incentives, during the infancy of the projects. By doing so we would be able to retain the precious resource of the country and minimized the migrations and squatting problems in the cities, and lower the unemployment rate and raise the number of tax payers, so that the government can provide better services to the people. Not unless a true leadership is shown by the people who are in power, the 6 years in power would be wasted with nothing to show in terms of development projects leading to prosperity. It is about time to review the effects of currency floating rate on the people and the development goal of the country. the deregulation of the oil industry, does it make sense in terms of our goal, or are we just enriching the people who are enslaving our people?
