But despite her glitzy comeback to the show, Sam Bailey was immediately back on mothering duties as she put down her mic. The reigning champion of the show beamed as she left the studios in London with her adorable daughter cradled in her arms. Swapping her heavily-embellished dress for a more functional jumper and trousers combo, the former prison guard waved to fans as she headed to her car alongside husband Craig Pearson. Sam welcomed little Miley in September and revealed how shed always dreamed of having a brood of three kids. She told Hello! magazine: I always wanted three kids, but before The X Factor we couldnt afford it. So I was resigned to the fact I would just have the two. Then next thing you know I find out Im pregnant and I was like, Yes. Im finally going to get my wish. After her rousing performance, Sam let viewers know who she wanted to take her crown. She told host Dermot, After her performance [on Saturday], I say Fleur. While Sams rendition of the track from Ghost the Musical went down a storm, another of the nights star acts didnt go down quite as well. ts a long-running X Factor tradition that star guest performers get a standing ovation from the judging panel. But Cheryl Fernandez-Versini and Melanie Brown broke form on Sunday nights results show by refusing to get to their feet after Idina Menzels somewhat bizarre set. The Let It Go singer took to the stage to perform festive classic Baby, Its Cold Outside, and was joined by surprise guest Michael Buble. The pair got off to a good start, with the audience cheering for the beloved crooner, a regular on the UK X Factor. But their performance started to fall apart as the pair giggled their way through the verses, with Michael putting on silly voices and Idina seemingly muddling up her words. Still, Simon Cowell and Louis Walsh jumped to their feet after the song came to end, making it all the more obvious that their fellow female panelists had remained firmly in their seats. At one point, Simon looked in bemusement at Cheryl, who clapped through a strained smile. When host Dermot OLeary interviewed the Idina and Michael afterwards, it was equally as awkward. Idina said: Hes my best little kept secret... this is the first time weve sung this song publicly, before offering an explanation for why they may have fluffed their lines. She added: Its not easy when you have Michael singing to you. Mel and Cheryl soon faced a backlash from fans on Twitter who took aim at them for refusing to get to their feet alongside Louis and Simon. One wrote: Find it disgusting Mel and Cheryl didnt stand up for Michael Bublè and Idina Menzel.Clearly just jealous! Another added: It was disgraceful that Mel and Cheryl didnt stand up for Menzel. That woman has more talent than those two put together. However, Cheryl insisted the snub had more to do with her dress than her not enjoying their duet. She explained: Me and Mel were so engrossed in what was coming up, lets face it, it was Lauren versus Andrea. We applauded them but sometimes its difficult with my dress. Sometimes you have to take beauty over disaster. Apart from that we were having a really emotional conversation. She went on to insist they had not fallen out, as the speculation since their on air row last weekend had suggested. When asked who was her favourite fellow judge by Xtra Factor host Sarah-Jane Crawford, she said: Obviously Mel. Its girl power isnt it? I dont think two girls have ever got on so well. Spice Aloud. Meanwhile, the pair seemed much more taken with the nights first performers - American girl group Fifth Harmony. The band, who started out on the US version of the talent show, performed their hit BO$$, and it got Mel and Cheryl one their feet for a whole different reason - so they could dance. After the show, Cheryl heaped praise of the fivesome, saying: After Fifth Harmony tonight, maybe we could become Sixth Harmony?
