Rejoice For The Law When we observe all that God has commanded - TopicsExpress

Rejoice For The Law When we observe all that God has commanded and instituted as laws it can seem daunting and overwhelming. Without seeing the laws this way we would be lead to believe we could keep them. For if we come with a mindset like Nicodemus, where we think we have kept them all and have become prideful about it, we miss the truth about the laws (John 3:1-21). By meeting the requirements of the law we can be saved, but if we disobey just once we fall under the judgment of God. The law was supposed to appear so daunting and so demanding that we realize for all our effort and sacrifice, we cannot satisfy its standard. That all this work we do will not appease a Holy and Just God. We find that we need God to help us. We find we are completely hopeless in obtaining salvation through our own good merit (Ephesians 2:8-10). It is in these laws that we find the identity of the Messiah. That He is not just a Man. He is God (John 1:1). When Adam and Eve fell they entered into a deprived state in which they no longer Sought God, but chose to hide and cover up their Sin (Genesis 3:6-7). Man does not choose God until God has chosen them and has called them unto Salvation (Ephesians 1:3-8). So the law was never was intended for Man to receive Salvation by His works, but that a God would so choose to come down to Earth born of a virgin live according to the Law and gain Salvation for all Mankind. Read the laws again and mull over what God has commanded, rejoice for what Jesus has done that you could not ever do. Lean upon Him for the help you need to live according to the law. It is no longer a burden. We no longer live the law, but under the power and authority of Jesus. Remember for every law you have broken Jesus has overcome and will help you. 1 Joyful are people of integrity, who follow the instructions of the Lord. 2 Joyful are those who obey his laws and search for him with all their hearts. 3 They do not compromise with evil, and they walk only in his paths. 4 You have charged us to keep your commandments carefully. 5 Oh, that my actions would consistently reflect your decrees! 6 Then I will not be ashamed when I compare my life with your commands. 7 As I learn your righteous regulations, I will thank you by living as I should! 8 I will obey your decrees. Please don’t give up on me! Psalms 119:1-8
