Rejoice in the Lord always: and again I say, Rejoice. Philippians 4:4 Thank you Jesus for Your hand on my life. Ever have one of those days? UGH, I seem to have a lot of them here lately. Got fussed at, things just not working right, too much stuff going on at one time, every day this week I have felt like my head has been spinning round and round. Pulled in so many different directions and just having a difficult time getting anything done - much less those things that are due today. In the midst of all this chaos, I heard myself teaching the kids on Wednesday night saying If you are having a bad day, what can you do? Cry out to Jesus, He will help you to get through it. I had to chuckle. Finally I told my co-worker that I am not teaching the kids anymore on Wednesday night. She said Why are they that bad? I said No, I am tired of living out the lesson the next day! But you know whats funny, it wasnt just the lesson, it was the devotional as well! Do you think that lesson Wednesday night was for the kids? Probably as much for me as for the kids. I sometimes wonder if they are listening.....yesterday, I will bet God was wondering if I was listening and paying attention. This morning I am having computer difficulties, so I am on my daughters computer typing up this devotional. As I was scrolling through my news feed this morning this quote caught me..... Trials are sent by God to cause us to stand. Temptation is sent by the devil to cause us to stumble Now lets look at the scripture to back this up.... Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. 1 Peter 5:8-11 You see that? Trials are sent by God to cause us to stand. But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen. Temptation is sent by the devil to cause us to stumble - Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world. In the midst of my day yesteday, I did realize that the lesson was also equipping me to share with someone who is struggling with all the junk that life is throwing her way. My words to her echoed throughout my day as well.....Let Go and Let God! This morning I leave you with this question....are you standing or are you stumbling? See we dont have to go through this alone....Cry out to Jesus! That is what I told the kiddos Wednesday night, what Jesus told me all day yesterday and what I shared with my friend. He will see you through, He will see me through and He will see her through, just as He will see those kiddos through..... Praying for each and every one of you this morning. Be strong in the Lord and the power of His might.......Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour: Whom resist stedfast in the faith, knowing that the same afflictions are accomplished in your brethren that are in the world.
