Relationship Bible Verses Our earthly relationships are important to the Lord. God the Father ordained the institution of marriage and designed for us to live within families. Whether were talking about friendships, dating relationships, marriages, families, or dealings between brothers and sisters in Christ, the Bible has a great deal to say about our relationships with one another. 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Proverbs 13:20 He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. 1 Corinthians 15:33 Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.” John 15:13 Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. Colossians 3:23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for men, Hebrews 10:24-25 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds. Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another--and all the more as you see the Day approaching. 1 Peter 5:6-7 Humble yourselves, therefore, under Gods mighty hand, that he may lift you up in due time. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. Ephesians 4:2-3 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him who is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up! Again, if two lie together, they keep warm, but how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will withstand him—a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Proverbs 31:10-11 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. Exodus 20:12 Honor your father and your mother, so that you may live long in the land the LORD your God is giving you. Ephesians 6:1-3 Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Honor your father and mother--which is the first commandment with a promise-- that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth. Psalm 37:3-4 Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. 2 Corinthians 5:17-18 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 1 Peter 1:3-5 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you, who through faith are shielded by Gods power until the coming of the salvation that is ready to be revealed in the last time. John 3:3 In reply Jesus declared, I tell you the truth, no one can see the kingdom of God unless he is born again. 2 Corinthians 6:14 Do not be yoked together with unbelievers. For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common? Or what fellowship can light have with darkness? Genesis 2:18 The LORD God said, It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him. Romans 12:9-10 Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Proverbs 18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother. Ephesians 5:33 However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband. Genesis 2:24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh. Leviticus 18:22 Do not lie with a man as one lies with a woman; that is detestable. Proverbs 17:17 A friend loves at all times, and a brother is born for adversity. Proverbs 31:10 An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels. 1 Corinthians 7:5 Do not deprive each other except by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control. 2 Timothy 2:22 So flee youthful passions and pursue righteousness, faith, love, and peace, along with those who call on the Lord from a pure heart. 1 Timothy 5:1-7 Do not rebuke an older man but encourage him as you would a father, younger men as brothers, older women as mothers, younger women as sisters, in all purity. Honor widows who are truly widows. But if a widow has children or grandchildren, let them first learn to show godliness to their own household and to make some return to their parents, for this is pleasing in the sight of God. She who is truly a widow, left all alone, has set her hope on God and continues in supplications and prayers night and day,
