Relationship Question of the Day: Okay, this one is a little on the churchy side. But hey, Im a Christian and these things do come up, so why not talk about it? Now, I was watching the Preachers of L.A. reunion and the issue of shacking came up. Now, Deitrick Haddons point of view was that its ok for a man and a woman to live together under certain circumstances like financial reasons or if theyre engaged. Bishop Gibson firmly upheld that shacking is a sin. He supported this with the story of the woman at the well and how Jesus pointed out that the man she was living with was not her husband. So, my question is this: Is living with your significant other really wrong? What if you already have a child with this person but youre not sure if you want to marry them yet?
