Relationship Tip: I am married or in a committed relationship, is it okay to go on all girls/guys trips for the weekend out of town? Once you have decided to get married or be committed to someone you have to consider their feelings too. A lot of activities that goes on during these trips might not be suitable for someone who is now married or in a committed relationship. You should never put yourself in a situation that will allow doubt into your home. You should never put your mate in a situation that they are not comfortable with. Being married or committed is not always easy and you will find yourself saying "well I am not doing anything so why is it a big deal"? Continuing to live your life as if you are single is a very big deal. If you want to do girls/guys night out cool but to go away for a whole weekend to Vegas, Miami or L.A., just to name a few, is not the life of a married/committed person. There are functional relationships were both parties are okay with their mates going away for the weekend without them. I suggest that if you are one of those people that have a yearly getaway with friends talk about it prior to marriage/committing yourself to someone to avoid future problems in your relationship.
