Relationships are delicate. Some can withstand great amounts of struggle and testing while others will crumble into dust and blow away at the rise of even the least little bit of strain. No matter what....every relationship can only endure so much for so long before the edges fray, seams come un-sewn and the fabric as a whole becomes threadbare, easily torn, tattered and ultimately destroyed. Our lives are made up of fabric, our relationships are bound by tiny threads of respect, honor, love, loyalty and kindness. It is my fervent, desperate prayer that we will be more mindful of which threads we carelessly clip with our harsh words, our bitter diatribes and cruel attitudes because once those tiny threads are broken....the unravelling of entire families and relationships begins and most times cannot be mended. While many, many threads put together are strong and relatively indestructible, as the threads get clipped and become thinner and fewer, the easier it will be to tear them entirely asunder. Remember.....an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure. The meek shall inherit the earth and the peacemakers shall be called the children of God.
