Relative to military affairs, civil rights and equality, I regard myself as a no-no boy, under the conditions that Japanese Americans were under in WWII, and I would never expect anything less from any other American under similar conditions. After evaluating the volunteer enlistment of the past two wars, those from wealthy backgrounds were severely under represented while those from lower income backgrounds were greatly over represented. Subsequently, I do not view the military draft with the contempt that the Vietnam/Baby Boomer Generation does. I believe the military draft is more equal and it holds ALL of America accountable in considerations of a commitment to war . . .
