Relatively mild and benign weather will continue through at least - TopicsExpress

Relatively mild and benign weather will continue through at least the middle part of next week. A northwest flow aloft will bring several fronts through the region during this time frame including the one today. The air behind these fronts is not very cold so our temperatures will stay within reason for this time of year. The dry conditions and strong winds at times will continue to elevate the fire danger, although I think today has been/will be the biggest day of of concern. Even so, continue to be mindful of this potential as the frequent shifting of winds and dry conditions will allow fires to grow/spread rapidly and become difficult to contain. My attention then shifts to late next week and beyond. It appears the pattern will shift again towards a cold and stormy one. Some of the things Im seeing in the long range models are pretty interesting. Of course the details will become more clear with time and I will update accordingly. Stay tuned.
