Relatively new haiku from Japan:--- I saw a white bird once on a wild coast and fell in love with this dream which obsesses me Things fo do on FaceBook: Send something strange and beaurtiful and at least the name of a new novel. One must beweare: My middler sister found Stioker or the new Neustein (TYalking to Ourselves) much too sad, and too sad for her friends. But I undetrstand--it;s n ot after all that poets lie too much, but that they cant bear the Bird reality. Once I walked out of Jean-Miochels studio and looked around: It was Jean-Michell all over New York. By thre way, everyone go out --if you can--and support the madly talented John Lurie who is giving a few concerts and exnhibits. We boih played at Jeasn-Michel;s memorial. Anina Nosei told me I shjouldn;t play because I was so different than Jean. But we had worked together, and who was like Jean anyway?] SXee this months issue of Brooklyn Rail. My friend and collaborfator is Tsvio Geva, whose father iovented a new arcghitecture, whose brother invented a new Arab-Israeli laboratory, and we too made about 2 books . He speaks of collabs between Palestinians and Israelis and also how he uses pattetns like Keffya to work more and more together. Actually, Jean0-Michel said one dasy that he weas going to paint one of my essdays-=-wonderful idea--and we resembled each other., How I asked. We both Xed things out, he murmured. .
