Release Date/Time: 1/3/2015 10:00 PM Incident: Attempted Murder Date: Saturday, 1/3/2015 Time: 5:18 PM Location: 500 Block of Williams Rd A Salinas Police Officer heard gunshots in the area of the 500 block of Williams Road and drove into the area. People began pointing at a SUV that was driving away and he attempted a stop on the vehicle as it pulled into another apartment complex. It was then discovered the occupants were the ones being shot at. Witness place two of the vehicles occupants on foot getting into a verbal argument with two other males in the driveway of a complex in the 500 block. One of the subjects pulled a gun and fired at the pair, who ran to the SUV and drove away. The shooters were last seen jumping fences towards the area of Cross Ave. A perimeter was set and the CHP helicopter was utilized to assist in the search. After a considerable search, the suspects were not located. During the investigation it was determined that neither victim was struck by gunfire, however a nearby apartment was struck.
